Wedding programs seem to be one of the items that most brides tackle themselves. After all, it’s just double sided paper folded in half. Of course, why should I make it that easy?
I developed my program on Adobe InDesign and uploaded it to uprinting.com. I upgraded the paper to make them a little more substantial and sent them off. A few days later they arrived. I would definitely suggest ordering a sample from them, just to make sure the printed color matches the color you see on your computer screen.
I knew I wanted to do a little something at the top of the program to make them stand out. While in Michaels during my lunch break, I came across these fabulous little blue flowers. The color was a little off from the Robin’s Egg Blue I had been aiming for, but they had potential. So I picked up two packages and 150 rhinestones.
With the help of my matron of honor and her daughter, rhinestones where glued onto flowers and flowers onto programs. And here is the finished product! Not too shabby.
The white basket was from Walmart (on sale for $1 a piece) and the fabric is from Joann’s – Calico Aqua Damask. [I was happy as a clam when I found that fabric…]
Pretty affordable and completely customizable to fit anyone’s colors/theme.
And always enlist the cutest little kids to hand them out :)
